A new spin is put on recycling old washing machines and dishwashers when their wires and pipes are turned into jewellery.

Each 'Clean Cut' necklace and bracelet set is made up of chopped up electrical wires, arranged inside a clear tube and fastened with a magnetic clasp. Each set is individually made and no two are identical, therefore the item you receive may vary slightly in design from those pictured. Please select your favourite colour combination from the list.

Made by: TrashDesign Manufactory Location: Vienna, Austria Background: Social enterprise for the reintegration, qualification and placing of long-term unemployed and disabled people through environmental craft projects. Inspiration: We love the idea of reviving and repurposing waste equipment which has lost its value in its current state. We work with three recycling centres in Vienna to source raw materials and our project is helping to minimise the city’s waste. Best compliment: The surprise and delight on customers’ faces when they admire one of our pieces of jewellery or furniture and then realise it’s made from waste.
