Rescued Paper Notebook - Large

A two-sided solution to problem paper.

Paper which has been printed on one side but not the other, has been rescued from the waste bin and transformed into attractive notebooks. The printed side of each page has been folded in on itself so that you can write on the reverse. Each book is bound by hand in random coloured covers and spines.

The unlined pages are made up from a combination of different coloured paper sources including misprinted packaging, envelopes, posters and paper work. The top and bottom of each page is left unsealed so you can take a peek at what it used to be in its previous life.

Available in different sizes, listed separately on our website. The large notebook is ideal for art projects or to use as a scrapbook.

Made by: Darrell & Julia Gibbs Location: Brighton, England Background: Our company was founded in 1990 after Darrell graduated from art school. We’ve designed a range of recycled paper notebooks and organic cotton textiles which are made by hand in India. Inspiration: The idea for Rescued Paper Notebooks came from Darrell’s old bits of paper he had for printing and drawing which he wanted to make a sketch book out of. Best compliment: We’ve been told that our Rescue Paper Notebook is the ‘ultimate’ recycled pad as the paper doesn’t go through any processes other than being folded in half.
