The introduction of digital music may mean that vinyl records are no longer needed for the turn table, but turn them into coasters and now they're needed for the coffee table.

Protect surfaces from ring marks by popping your glass or mug on one of these groovy coasters skilfully cut by Raynard Smith from 12" singles and LPs of well known artists.

Both sides of the original record labels are retained and made durable by a layer of clear laminate, making it easy to mop up spills. The coasters are heat resistant enough to make a functional coaster, but they should by wiped clean with a cloth rather than put in the dishwasher.

Sold as a set of 6 coasters, chose from either the Pop or Vintage era.

BESPOKE: If you would like to request a set of 6 from a particular decade, genre, record label or other themed collection, then we can source this for you at an additional cost. For example:

By decade: 60's, 70's, 80's

By genre: Ska, Heavy Metal, Rock, Soul, Reggae etc

By label: Decca, Motown, Stiff, Atlantic, London, Apple, A&M, Parlophone, etc

By another theme: Label colour, Comedy, Christmas, Female, Male, Children's, BBC recordings, NOW that's what I call music / Top of the Pops, or by year (great idea for anniversaries or birthdays)

Made by: Raynard Smith Location: Dorset, England Background: I've always had a flair for art and enjoy making toys and gifts for my family and friends. Making vinyl record products came about one day whilst clearing out my 80's music collection. I experimented by putting a vinyl record in the oven and made a fluted bowl from it. Inspiration: I'm inspired by the downshifting mentality and have always got satisfaction from repairing something instead of replacing it. There is also the raw challenge of taking something that was designed for one purpose and changing it to fit another need, with the added bonus of preserving the original detail and identity.
