Peedie Bag - Pink & Blue

Made from recycled felted woollen jumpers and blankets, these handy little handbags are created on the island of Papa Westray in the Orkneys. 'Peedie' is an Orcadian word for small. Each bag has a long cord strap, a magnetic fastener and the artist's label sewn onto the front flap. Made from a different source, each is unique in pattern and texture. This Pink & Blue Peedie bag is made from a thick woollen source which originally had a large check pattern running through it. The long fibres in the wool have formed attractive curls during the felting process. The bag photographed here is the actual one you'll receive.
