If you're after the perfect jewellery to compliment your favourite pair of jeans, then look no further! Worn out denim jeans are back in fashion, but this time round they're making a comeback as funky earrings, a necklace and a bracelet.

Midlands based jewellery-designer Caz Barratt, cuts strips from unwearable denim clothing and rolls them into chunky beads. Low nickel, steel alloy findings and earring hooks have been used. Denim and silver coloured beads alternate in each piece. The necklace has an adjustable slip knot cord.

The earrings, necklace and bracelet can be bought separately or as a set. The sets come in a denim pouch. Each denim bead has been sealed with a clear eco-friendly varnish giving it durability. Both the necklace and the bracelet are adjustable.

Dimensions : The drop of each earring is approx. 2.5cm. Each bracelet has an adjustable chain which allows a length of between 20.5cm to 24cm. The necklace has a slip knot cord allowing a minimum length of 46cm for a choker effect and a maximum of 77cm for a longer look.

Made by: Caz Barratt Location: West Midlands, England Background: I started making jewellery as a hobby a year ago. I like to make the whole piece from scratch so made beads from polymer clay & papier mache, then moved on to recycling paper & denim, which are my favourite. Inspiration: I like the idea that my beads started life as something completely different and having three young sons I am never short of worn out jeans! Best compliment: I had a lady purchase some recycled paper earrings at a craft fair & she asked where I bought the ‘ceramic’ beads. She was most impressed when I explained they were actually paper!
